<p>Gibbs-White is said to be a "priority target" for Manchester City and the club plan to "advance" talks for the attacking midfielder in the coming weeks, according to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1918966956528414898" target="_blank"><em>Fabrizio Romano</em></a>. City are not expected to find any problems agreeing personal terms with Gibbs-White but may have their work cut out convincing Forest to part ways with the 25-year-old.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Manchester City are searching for a replacement for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/kevin-de-bruyne-forced-out-man-city-pep-guardiola-club-decision-not-easy/blte472a6395e704596" target="_blank">legendary midfielder Kevin De Bruyne who has announced he will leave the club this summer</a>. Finding a successor to the brilliant Belgian will be a tough ask and Guardiola has already <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/pep-guardiola-kevin-de-bruyne-exit-coach-man-city-belgian-playmaker/bltea1a30deb02b3574#cs4ac9f13360f9e65b" target="_blank">admitted it will be "almost impossible" to replace De Bruyne</a>. Yet Gibbs-White has shone in a high-flying Nottingham Forest team this season, scoring five times and bagging seven assists for Nuno Espirito Santo's team.</p><p></p>
