This setback sidelined him for two months, during which all negotiations were put on hold.</p>

<p>With his contract expiring in June, De Bruyne <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kevin-de-bruyne-offered-move-man-city-sister-clubs-when-leaves-pep-guardiola-side/blt0f3ac1832a1887af" target="_blank">will be free to engage</a> in talks with foreign clubs starting from January 1. The midfielder, who has previously been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and MLS, admitted there has been no progress in renewing his deal.</p>

With the injury I had, I took a while and then I had four games in ten days which was hard. I’m happy for today.”</p>
