<p>Braithwaite will make his senior Manchester City debut on Tuesday after being named in Pep Guardiola's starting XI to face Watford in the third round of the Carabao Cup. The defender will become the third-youngest player in City's history when he takes to the field at the age of 16 years and 183 days. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Braithwaite is a versatile defender who can play either as a left-back or at left centre-back. He has been in action this season for the club's Under-18 side, featuring in all four of their games, including a 6-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest last time out. Braithwaite has also featured for England's Under-17s this season and scored in a 3-1 win over Germany earlier in September alongside <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/history-maker-arsenal-wonderkid-three-youth-league-records-atalanta-aged-14-max-dowman/bltd726e2c1565101f3" target="_blank">Arsenal record-breaker Max Dowman</a>.</p>
