Juventus tie Igor Tudor down to new contract after confirming coach's stay following reports Antonio Conte would replace him

<p>According to a report from <a href="https://sport.sky.it/calciomercato/2025/06/11/juventus-tudor-rinnovo-news" target="_blank"><em>Sky Sport Italia</em></a>, Juventus have reached an agreement to extend head coach Tudor's contract until at least 2027, with an option for another year. The new deal is expected to be formally signed by Tudor on Friday. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Under Tudor’s leadership, Juventus secured Champions League qualification for the 2025-26 season, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/juventus-make-decision-igor-tudor-future-interim-head-coach-to-lead-old-lady-back-to-champions-league/bltbb5c54f3c6e66539" target="_blank">prompting the club to offer a two-year extension</a>. The move signals a commitment to stability and long-term planning as the Bianconeri aim to build a winning cycle, given they will also be participating in the Club World Cup under the head coach. Tudor took over the reins in an interim role after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/juventus-thiago-motta-sacked-humiliating-atalanta-fiorentina-thrashings-serie-a-giants-new-manager/blt87fc6d7b4b222ae1" target="_blank">Juve sacked Thiago Motta in March</a>. The Italian heavyweights played nine games under their new manager, winning five, drawing three, and losing just once.</p>

<p>In an interview in May, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/igor-tudor-threatens-walk-out-juventus-club-world-cup-antonio-conte/bltb028816756f82ef4#csd224c522e4f9d202" target="_blank">Tudor threatened to resign ahead of the Club World Cup</a> in the scenario Juve had already made their mind up on appointing a new coach ahead of the upcoming season.</p><p>"I can’t say anything; we’ll talk and decide soon. We were all focused on the end of the season, all the games. I didn’t even want to talk about this. Now we have the Club World Cup, but all this will be solved before that. It would not be a good idea to go there without a decision, or to make a decision [to change] but still go there with the same coach. It would not be serious for the club or the coach," he said.</p><p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/antonio-conte-set-shock-napoli-exit-after-serie-a-title-success-massimiliano-allegri-already-lined-up-replace-ex-chelsea-boss/blt1c135f74f50de4fc" target="_blank">The Old Lady were reportedly considering reuniting with Napoli boss Antonio Conte</a>. However, those rumours have now been put to bed, with the former Juve coach <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/antonio-conte-stay-at-napoli-juventus-return-president-aurelio-de-laurentiis/blt96c6f3c60ecb78ee" target="_blank">staying put in Naples</a> for at least one more season.</p>
