Despite the triumph, Allegri’s second spell at Juventus was marred by inconsistent performances and off-field controversies. He was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/max-allegri-tears-off-his-tie-juventus-coppa-italia-final-win-against-atalanta/bltd146b3ae71f1b724" target="_blank">sent off for his reactions against Atalanta</a> during the title decider after he tore off his tie and jacket while fuming against a refereeing decision - a behaviour "that the club deemed incompatible with the values of Juventus."

WHAT MOTTA SAID

Allegri’s initial tenure at Juventus was highly successful, securing five consecutive Serie A titles from 2014 to 2019 and reaching the Champions League finals in 2015 and 2017. However, his return in 2021 did not replicate the same level of success, with the Coppa Italia being the only silverware during his second stint.
