Jude Bellingham set for 'urgent talks' with Gareth Southgate as England boss bids to reignite Real Madrid superstar's form at Euro 2024

Since his move to Real Madrid last summer, Bellingham has been in top form as he led Los Blancos to a La Liga trophy and the club's 15th Champions League title. However, leading into the Euros this summer, the same form has not been visible for Southgate's side as the Three Lions have struggled in the group stages of Euro 2024.

WHAT HAPPENED?

When Southgate was asked by the media if he would speak to Bellingham, he replied: “I will have those messages with him rather than plaster them over the papers.”

WHAT SOUTHGATE SAID

England only managed to win one game in the group stages of the Euros which came against Serbia thanks to Bellingham's goal. However, the last two games against Denmark and Slovenia have seen the Real Madrid midfielder struggle for form. In their last match against Slovenia, Bellingham failed to register a single shot or make a key pass.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

England luckily made it to the knockout stages as the top nation in their group and will now take on Slovakia in the round of 16 on Sunday, June 30 with Bellingham likely to start yet again.
