<p>Sancho joined Chelsea on a season-long loan last summer after falling out of favour at Manchester United. Although the initial loan agreement included a purchase clause estimated at £25m, recent developments suggest <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-chelsea-triggered-permanent-jadon-sancho-transfer-victory-fulham-deal-man-utd/blt28fcb16f8692f0ab#cs96f8956b4dc7c61a" target="_blank">Chelsea are reconsidering their long-term interest</a>. It is suggested that the west London club may <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jadon-sancho-fee-chelsea-must-pay-man-utd-permanent-transfer-get-out-clause/blt908e1f7a0498681b" target="_blank">opt to pay a £5m penalty</a> to avoid making the transfer permanent, which would see Sancho return to United at the end of the season.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Turkish outlet <em>Yeni Asir</em> report that Fenerbahce are actively working on securing a deal for the 25-year-old winger. Club officials are said to have already begun preparations to bring Sancho to Istanbul, with Mourinho giving the green light to pursue the player. With the club expected to part ways with current loanee Allan Saint-Maximin, who is set to return to Saudi side Al-Ahli, Fenerbahce are prioritising the signing of a dynamic wide player.</p>

<p>Local rivals Galatasaray are also said to be tracking the winger’s situation. With reports suggesting that Galatasaray’s Baris Alper Yılmaz is being eyed by Premier League clubs, the Istanbul side is expected to dip into the market for a replacement. Sancho’s availability and potential discounted price, if Chelsea pull out, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/galatasaray-shock-jadon-sancho-move-explore-possibility-signing-man-utd-owned-attacker-underwhelming-chelsea-loan/blte3e54bccfe1f999a#cs540b2e770d5e747b" target="_blank">make him a viable option</a> for both Turkish powerhouses.</p>
