Quizzed on whether a proven Premier League performer will end up at Wrexham, former Red Dragons defender Frank Sinclair - speaking in association with <a href="https://first.com/ " target="_blank">FIRST.com</a> - told GOAL: “When you say proven, I think someone that has experienced the Premier League will. Whether you are going to get the quality of someone that should be playing in the Premier League right now, I’m not too sure about that. But I think experience of, players that have been in and around the Premier League in the last five, six years or so, will help the club push on again and the players will push on again.
“It’s a totally different challenge in the Championship. The money that the owners, Ryan and Rob, have thrown at the club, I think there is a bit of a leveller when you get to the Championship because of the money that the other clubs coming down from the Premier League etc will have at their disposal. 
“It’s a massive club to be at at the moment, with the trajectory that they are going in. If I’m a footballer and I’m not playing in the Premier League and I want to be part of a journey, then you look at Wrexham and you look at Birmingham City, these are clubs that would excite you for the next two or three years with what you can achieve. It’s a difficult one because I can’t think of players right now that are probably not going to play in the Premier League next season, that have played in it this season, that would be linked to Wrexham.”

WHAT FRANK SINCLAIR SAID

Ex-England international Vardy does fall into that category, as the Premier League title winner prepares to leave Leicester as a free agent, and Sinclair added on the value of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/hollywood-signing-jamie-vardy-match-made-heaven-wrexham-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-premier-league-title-winner/blt607ed04d4a16d635" target="_blank">bringing somebody like the 38-year-old striker on board</a>: “He would be unbelievable TV for the documentary! 
“I’ve listened to different people within the game saying that Jamie Vardy is not the player that he once was. But if you look at the season he has had, obviously he is not going to have the legs that he had three or four seasons ago. But he has adapted his game with his experience. If you can get Jamie Vardy to Wrexham, he scores goals in the Championship - that’s a given. 
“It will be interesting to see if they can turn his head because I think there will still be Premier League clubs - the lower end of the Premier League - that will be looking at Jamie Vardy as a good acquisition. It will be interesting what happens with that one.
