<p>Fans were treated to one of the more bizarre moments in Premier League history on Saturday when <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jamie-vardy-hilarious-whistle-stunt-injured-referee-replaced-leicester-southampton/bltce89ee37541c778d" target="_blank">Vardy blew the referee's whistle and stopped the game between Leicester and Southampton</a>. The striker took matters into his own hands after Webb went down after being accidentally barged over by Jordan Ayew. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Vardy revealed what he was thinking afterwards. He told BBC Sport: "I saw Southampton breaking down the left and with the ref down I thought I'll blow his whistle to stop the game."</p>

WHAT VARDY SAID

<p>Webb ended up having to be replaced by fourth official Sam Barrott. Meanwhile, Leicester went on to win 2-0 in a battle between the two relegated clubs. Vardy was on target for the Foxes after scoring his 199th goal for the club.
