<p>Salah's future at Liverpool remains uncertain as he heads towards the end of his current contract which expires in the summer. The Egypt international has<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/more-out-than-in-mohamed-salah-makes-huge-admission-liverpool-future-disappointed-reds-talisman-claims-yet-receive-offer-new-contract/blt7b7a8cab9bbdbc7f" target="_blank"> claimed he's "more out than in"</a> at Anfield despite being in the midst of another stellar campaign that has seen him score 28 goals in all competitions for the Reds so far this season.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/new-favourites-mohamed-salah-al-hilal-liverpool-terminating-neymar-contract/blt199c8e7945b75e90" target="_blank">Liverpool's talisman is reportedly wanted in Saudi Arabia</a> if he does depart Merseyside at the end of the season. Carragher has played down talk of a move to the Middle East for Salah but has insisted that forward has already been made a contract offer by Arne Slot's side, despite claims to the contrary.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Carragher said on <em>The Overlap’s Fan Debate</em>: "Do not believe he hasn’t been offered a contract. I can actually assure you he has been offered a contract."</p><p>He went on to add: "We talk about Saudi, I just can’t see Salah doing that. He’s too driven, he’s too much of a winner. I think Salah can go until he’s 37, 38. He can play."</p><p>Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are also coming to the end of their Liverpool contracts and Carragher admits he will be "gutted" if all three players move on.</p><p>"For me, because they’re still so good now. I understand what they’ve done for the club but they’re still so good right now that I don’t think you can be offering them a year," he added.</p><p>"It’d have to be two. I’d be gutted if Liverpool didn’t sign them but I’d also be looking at them like, why haven’t you signed? The team is made for them, it is loved, where are they gonna go? Other clubs aren’t going to give them the money or give them long contracts, certainly in Europe."</p>

WHAT CARRAGHER SAID

<p>Liverpool fans face an anxious wait to see if Salah does sign on or look for a new challenge in the summer. In the meantime, the Reds are back in action on Wednesday when they face Aston Villa in the Premier League.</p>
