<p>According to <a href="https://gianlucadimarzio.com/sancho-napoli-calciomercato-news-16-giugno-2025/" target="_blank"><em>Gianluca di Marzio,</em></a><em> </em>Napoli have made a move for Sancho, just days after completing the signing of Manchester City icon Kevin De Bruyne. The Serie A champions are aiming to make a big impact in the Champions League after conquering Italy, and Antonio Conte has requested quality reinforcements from the board.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Sancho spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Chelsea after falling out with ex-Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag. Despite an inconsistent start, he found some form by the end of the season, contributing five goals and ten assists. However, his efforts were <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/borussia-dortmund-express-interest-in-signing-jadon-sancho-for-third-time-man-utd-outcast-possible-replacement-chelsea-target-jamie-gittens/blt3155b428cd34932c" target="_blank">not enough to convince Chelsea</a> to keep the English winger permanently for a £25 million ($34m) fee as they instead opted to pay a £5m ($7m) compensation fee to send him back to Old Trafford.</p>

<p>Sancho joined Manchester United in 2021 in a blockbuster £72.9m ($99m)  transfer from Borussia Dortmund. Recouping the full amount spent on Sancho is considered highly unlikely, but a loan with an obligation or option to buy may still appeal to all parties.
