Sancho <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jadon-sancho-breaks-silence-ends-man-utd-exile-completes-loan-move-former-side-borussia-dortmund/blt4ed896623ab0b260" target="_blank">joined Dortmund until the end of the season</a> in a loan deal that does not include an option to make the move a permanent one this summer. The England international's move back to Germany comes after he was banished from the United first-team in August after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-why-jadon-sancho-scapegoat-man-utd-erik-ten-hag/blt2d642821b1b191d8" target="_blank">hitting back at Ten Hag over social media for criticising his effort in training,</a> with Sancho saying he had been treated like a "scapegoat".

WHAT HAPPENED?

Former striker Sutton says Sancho's social media conduct was unacceptable, but believes he may be back at United before long, while Ten Hag could soon be sacked. He said on the <a href="https://twitter.com/MailSport/status/1745493271529578731" target="_blank">It's All Kicking Off!</a> podcast: "I suspect Sancho will outlast Ten Hag at Manchester United... You have a player there, a talented young player, who for whatever reason thinks he's bigger than the club, bigger than Manchester United. What he did to Ten Hag on social media was utterly ridiculous. It was pathetic. He's acted appallingly, Sancho has. It's ended like this but I suspect he'll be back at Manchester United and if Ten Hag carries on the way he's going I suspect he'll be off at the end of the season."

WHAT SUTTON SAID

Ten Hag has come under pressure at Old Trafford amid his team's disappointing performances this season. Despite a promising debut campaign under the Dutchman, the Red Devils have crashed out of Europe this term and sit eighth in the Premier League - nine points adrift of a place in the top four.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Sancho, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/manchester-united-troublemaker-jadon-sancho-turn-career-around-borussia-dortmund/bltbe1a734b5a645ccc" target="_blank">having completed his return to Dortmund this week</a>, will hope to revive his career in the Bundesliga. Ten Hag, meanwhile, will attempt to get his United side back on top form and in competition for a place in next season's Champions League.
