<p>Reus is leaving Dortmund this summer and appears set to head to the United States <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/la-galaxy-for-borussia-dortmund-legend-marco-reus-meet-agent-talks-champions-league-final/blt31d909f5bcdc0bad" target="_blank">amid talks with LA Galaxy</a>. He has brought the curtain down on a 12-year career at Signal Iduna Park, although he was unable to give himself a fairytale ending in the Champions League final, as the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/borussia-dortmund-player-ratings-real-madrid-karim-adeyemi-ian-maatsen/blt87eb557ccfee0ff8" target="_blank">Bundesliga side lost to Real Madrid at Wembley</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Sancho, who played for Dortmund between 2017 and 2021 before leaving for Manchester United, returned on loan in 2023/24 and has now issued a heartfelt farewell to a player he regards as a role model.</p>
