<p>The England captain ended his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/harry-kane-trophy-curse-finally-broken-bayern-munich-clinch-bundesliga-title-without-kicking-ball-xabi-alonso-bayer-leverkusen-dethroned-draw-freiburg/blt6ca8c94ea5ece145" target="_blank">personal trophy curse in May</a>, when Bayern lifted their 34th Bundesliga crown. Now he has a taste of silverware, the 31-year-old wants more. Kane believes he and his teammates are preparing well for the Club World Cup, and that they are "taking the tournament seriously".</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Kane says the players are aware they are among the favourites for the crown, along with other European giants like Manchester City, Real Madrid and European champions Paris Saint-Germain. <p>Kane told Germany's TZ newspaper: "We're certainly one of the favourites. I think this season has shown what kind of a team we are. On a good day, we can beat any opponent in the world.</p><p>Kane added that Bayern are, "taking the tournament seriously and preparing well.</p><p>"It's a new format with the best teams in the world competing. I'm happy to be part of it because it's an exciting opportunity."</p>

<p>Kane and his teammates start their campaign tomorrow afternoon, when they face off against Auckland City in Cincinnati. The round out their group stage with marquee fixtures against Boca Juniors and Benfica. </p>
