'Boss' - Harry Kane sends thankful message to departing England manager Gareth Southgate after Euro 2024 final loss against Spain

<p>After a heartbreaking loss in another European Championship final against Spain on Sunday, Southgate decided to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/gareth-southgate-must-walk-away-england-new-direction-glorious-failure-euro-2024/blt97fcabab5bc40ce1" target="_blank">resign from his post</a> after serving his country for eight years. The manager will go down in history as one of the most successful head coaches to have managed the Three Lions, having guided them to the semi-finals of three major tournaments and reaching back-to-back Euros finals.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>As the 53-year-old decided to end his journey with the England national team, captain Harry Kane took to social media to pen an emotional note dedicated to his manager where he thanked him for his immense contribution to the Three Lions.</p>
