<p>England captain <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-fee-bayern-munich-paid-harry-kane-100m-transfer-tottenham-england-striker/blt574fb10ccbd8169d" target="_blank">Kane completed a big-money transfer to Germany</a> in the summer of 2023. He severed career-long ties with Tottenham at that stage - having become their all-time leading goalscorer - with trophy-winning ambition <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/win-trophy-rejoin-spurs-break-alan-shearer-record-ex-tottenham-star-possible-premier-league-return-bayern-munich-striker-harry-kane/bltc72d1cc3d68a2bfd" target="_blank">taking him away from his homeland</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Fellow England international and ex-Spurs team-mate Dier made his own move to the Allianz Arena in January 2024, on an initial loan agreement. He has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-hungover-harry-kane-feeling-celebrating-first-trophy-career-bundesliga-champions-bayern-munich/blt44809789c9ca8ca8" target="_blank">helped Kane to break his trophy curse in 2025</a>.</p>

WHAT HARRY KANE SAID

He drank champagne and smoked cigars with Dier, with the 31-year-old adding on an emotional evening: “We watched the game together. After the final whistle, the emotions were running high and I immediately hugged Eric. We’ve had a long journey together. It was just something special.</p><p>“There were a lot of emotions, a lot of feelings in that moment and still are now.
