<p>Kane was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/thomas-muller-makes-surprise-admission-harry-kane-misses-sitter-bayern-munich-champions-league-defeat-inter/blt437d696341ae1897" target="_blank">presented with a golden opportunity</a> in the first half of Bayern's Champions League quarter-final first-leg encounter against Inter on Tuesday night but uncharacteristically failed to take his moment. The England captain was played through inside the Inter box and wrapped a curling effort towards goal, only to see the ball clip the post and fly out for a goal kick.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>It was a rare miss from such a distance from Kane, who has a reputation as one of Europe's most lethal finishers. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/inter-milan-bayern-munich-davide-frattesi-thomas-muller-serie-a-champions-league-quarter-final-san-siro/blt057d8c17ad066345" target="_blank">His side were then punished for his mistake</a>, conceding two second-half goals to trail heading into the return leg at the San Siro. It was a night to forget for the former Tottenham man, but he has taken to social media in an effort to rally the troops for the second part of the tie.</p>
