<p>Bayern were left shocked by how the opening 45 minutes panned out. Benjamin Sesko handed Leipzig the early lead just 11 minutes into the contest at Red Bull Arena, capitalising on a slip from Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig and curling in from distance. Leipzig were happy to cede possession and attack on the break, while a set-piece handed them a second - David Raum's free-kick was headed in by Lukas Klostermann.</p><p>But this was a cliched game of two halves. Bayern came out a different team and drew level in the blink of an eye just after the hour mark. Eric Dier nodded in Michael Olise's corner, and then within seconds, Olise himself fired in from the edge of the box. From there, Bayern were chasing the goal that would make them champions and Konrad Laimer missed a glorious chance as his header flew over.</p><p>Leroy Sane thought he'd won it for Bayern, and by extension the title, after being played in by Joshua Kimmich. But a stoppage-time dink from Leipzig legend Yussuf Poulsen saw it end 3-3 and cut Bavarian celebrations short before they had begun.</p>

<p>The class of <strong>Xavi Simons</strong> shone through as he helped change the game. At a time when he is being linked with a big-money summer transfer, amid reported interest from several Premier League clubs, he set up Leipzig's first and third goals with outstanding quality.</p>

THE MVP

<p>Suspension ruled him out of the game and <strong>Harry Kane</strong> still has to wait to get his hands on a first major trophy of his professional career. The Tottenham legend moved to Bayern precisely to win silverware, but shockingly didn't get his hands on any trophies during his debut season. He'd made his way down to the side of the pitch just before the final whistle in Leipzig, only to have that moment ripped away for at least another few days.</p>

THE BIG LOSER

<p>Ultimately, Bayern <em>will</em> almost certainly still be champions - a point from their next game against Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena on May 10, or indeed failure from Bayer Leverkusen to beat Freiburg on Sunday, is enough. If nothing else, the delay of potentially just a week means they could seal the title in front of their home fans in Munich instead, and with Kane in the line-up this time.</p>
