Despite this recent uptick in form, he is still a long way off his tally from last season, where he scored 19 goals and registered eight assists. It has been a mixed past six months for Foden after a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/dismal-phil-foden-stat-england-and-man-city-star-euro-2024-struggles-continue-switzerland/blt8b38d42011489821" target="_blank">difficult European Championships with England;</a> the midfielder had been given a break by City at the start of the campaign but struggled to stamp his authority when he returned.</p>
