<p>Former England international Lineker has confirmed that, after 25 years in the hotseat, the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/weird-gary-lineker-explains-why-leaving-match-of-the-day-reveals-whether-watch-show-new-host-2025-26/bltcbd2a252f484977d" target="_blank">current Premier League campaign will be his last as presenter of MOTD</a>. He will, however, retain ties with the BBC through to the end of their 2026 World Cup coverage.</p>

<p>That production will see a number of celebrities face questions from people who are neurodivergent, autistic and/or learning disabled – with those signing up being warned that they should brace for their "most honest interview yet".</p>
