WATCH THE CLIP

<p>The controversial incident came with Bayern leading 2-1 on the night, and was quickly followed by <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-player-ratings-vs-bayern-munich-leandro-trossard-william-saliba/bltff03be74ad966931" target="_blank">Leandro Trossard's equalising goal</a>. It could have major implications on who progresses to the last four, which only heightened Tuchel's rage.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Speaking after the game, Tuchel said to <a href="https://twitter.com/footballontnt/status/1777815488338211162" target="_blank"><em>TNT Sports</em></a>: "I think the referee did not have the courage to give a deserved penalty today in a bit of a crazy and awkward situation.</p><p>“He admitted on the pitch that he saw the situation and that [for a] quarter-final [the incident] is not enough for him to give a penalty, for a kid’s mistake. He admitted he saw the mistake the player made.</p><p>“It was a goal kick, the goalkeeper passed to a central defender and one touched the ball with the hand because he thought it was not in game. But it was in game and the referee admitted it was in game and was handball. Very frustrating.”</p>

WHAT TUCHEL SAID

<p>The two sides will meet again on April 17 at the Allianz Arena for the second leg, with the scores level at 2-2 and the tie finely balanced. Before preparations for that fixture get underway, Arsenal will face Aston Villa in the Premier League and Bayern are in Bundesliga action against Koln. It could be a painful weekend for Tuchel's side, with Bayer Leverkusen just one win away from being confirmed as German top-flight champions.</p>
