However, the LFP has now awarded the goal to Brest defender Brendan Chardonnet as he deflected the shot before it hit the back of the net, leaving Greenwood back on 18 for the season so far, as <a href="https://www.footmercato.net/a5537492293364261743-om-coup-dur-pour-mason-greenwood" target="_blank">Foot Mercato</a> reports.</p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Despite the setback, Greenwood still boasts a prolific record in the French top flight.
