<p>A 1-1 draw at home to Al-Taawoun on Friday night has left Al-Nassr sitting fourth in the Saudi Pro League, seven points away from second-placed Al-Hilal, with the top two gaining spots in the AFC Champions League elite.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The drop means Ronaldo will not play in Asia's elite competition - where he scored eight goals in 2024-25 - next term, and it may <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-sa/lists/cristiano-ronaldo-la-liga-al-nassr-ownership-spanish-club-promotion-top-flight/bltc66100995db36e13" target="_blank">sway his decision on renewing his contract</a> with the football icon set to become a free agent this summer. </p>

<p>Al-Nassr do still have the chance to qualify for the AFC Champions League two - equivalent to the Europa League - but Ronaldo and Co must finish third and rely on Al-Ittihad beating&nbsp;Al-Qadsiah in the&nbsp;King's Cup final later this month.</p>
