Yet football finance expert Dr Rob Wilson, a professor of economics at Sheffield Hallam University, has explained why the duo won't be able to negotiate another lucrative television deal with popular streaming service Netflix.</p><p></p>

<p>Wilson told <a href="https://www.slingo.com/slingo/" target="_blank">Slingo</a>: "TV rights are collectively bargained on behalf of the division and then distributed accordingly. So clubs aren't allowed to go out and sign their own individual rights deals currently.&nbsp;It will be interesting to see how that changes, particularly with streaming services, use of social media, digital platforms and so on.&nbsp;But it's not something I think the league organisers want to give away just now and that's right, in my opinion, that's right from a competitive integrity perspective."</p>

<p>Wrexham's promotion hopes have been hit in recent weeks after Phil Parkinson's team dropped points against Stevenage, Shrewsbury Town and Birmingham City. The Red Dragons are back in League One action on Saturday against struggling Shrewsbury.</p><p></p>
