Ex-Arsenal star Lucas Perez diagnosed with tuberculosis just a month after joining PSV as Spanish winger faces long period out including up to four weeks in isolation

<p>Perez signed for the Dutch side on a short-term contract at the end of February and has only played twice prior to sustaining the infection, according to <a href="https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/1345209621/psv-speler-met-actieve-tuberculose-is-lucas-perez" target="_blank"><em>De Telegraaf</em></a>. He will now be unavailable for a long time, at least including four weeks of isolation.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Perez has only played 24 minutes for PSV, having joined on a short-term contract after leaving Deportivo La Coruna, and may not get the chance to add to them after sustaining this illness.</p>

<p>Perez featured for Arsenal between 2016 and 2018, playing 21 times and scoring seven goals. He also went onto play for West Ham in the 2018-19 season.</p>
