England's Young Lions made it three 2-0 wins from three group games as they defeated holders Germany on Wednesday night, knocking the holders out of the competition in the process.
Germany came into the game knowing they would have to win but found themselves 1-0 down within four minutes, as Cameron Archer latched onto Jacob Ramsey's superb through ball and finished coolly into the bottom corner.
A second was added just 20 minutes later, when Harvey Elliott powered his way into the box and finished off a superb solo run with aplomb.
England were not properly tested for the remainder of the 90 minutes, dominating possession and creating chances at will. They will march on to play Portugal in the quarter-finals.
Germany were blunt, and did not seem to be at the level of the Young Lions.
