<p>Dzeko has made it clear that he has no plans of slowing down after signing with Fiorentina, firmly rejecting any suggestion that age is holding him back. Speaking after completing his move, the 39-year-old declared, “I’m not a write-off,” and emphasized that his ambition remains as strong as ever, insisting that “age doesn’t matter” when it comes to his performance and goals for the future.   </p>

<p>Dzeko will be no stranger to the challenges of Serie A, playing 268 games in the league with Roma (six seasons) and Inter (two seasons) and scoring 107 goals. He is returning to Italy after spending two seasons at Fenerbahce, scoring 46 goals. </p>

<p>Speaking at his presentation, Dzeko said: "Age doesn't matter, I'm not a write-off yet. Behind all this is the work that a 39-year-old has to do, even more than others. I feel good, we're working hard, and this will bring us satisfaction later. The impact has been very positive, with the club, the players, and the coach, who arrived at the same time as me. The players are very motivated and willing to work, and the coach is slowly conveying to us what he wants to see on the pitch. The Conference League? We care a lot; it's the European Cup, and we definitely want to go as far as possible.</p><p>"I've never set limits for myself, but I never said how many goals I want to score. The team comes first; goals and assists are also my job. Then, wherever we end up... the ambition has to be there, and it's the foundation for achieving great results. [Massimiliano] Allegri hasn't included Fiorentina among the teams capable of challenging for the Champions League: is that the biggest challenge? Maybe it's better that no one believes it. The team already performed well last year, leaving Milan, Lazio, and Bologna behind. The quality is certainly there, but then the coach will decide whether we need something more or not." </p>

<p>The Bosnian could make his first, albeit unofficial, appearance for the Viola on July 24 in a summer friendly against Grosseto.  </p>
