There are few certainties in football, but one thing we can always be sure of is the North London Derby delivering drama, intrigue and controversy. Tottenham may have a new manager this season in the form of straight-talking Australian Ange Postecoglou, but the conventional wisdom held true at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. An unfortunate own goal, some VAR drama and a comical error: the most recent clash between these two bitter enemies had a sprinkling of everything.
But looking past the drama, it's hard not to view this as a disappointing day for Arsenal. Not only as they dropped points against a side who haven't won at the Emirates in a league game since Harry Redknapp was in charge, but also because they lost their quickly-emerging talisman, Declan Rice, to an injury at the break.
Dropping points will also particularly sting as the Gunners went ahead twice, missed a string of decent chances to put the game to bed and then gifted Spurs a route back into the game via a pretty unforgivable mistake.
