<p>According to <a href="https://x.com/Santi_J_FM/status/1932060059980439629" target="_blank">Foot Mercato</a>, the Uruguay international is not against joining Al-Hilal this summer but Liverpool have not received an offer for his services so far. However, the report adds that the Saudi team have established contact with the 25-year-old's representatives.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Nunez cost Liverpool a whopping £85 million ($115m) in 2022 but he has not lived up to that hefty price tag since then. The ex-Benfica man has scored 40 goals and added 26 assists over three seasons but now it seems a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/darwin-nunez-anfield-goodbye-atletico-madrid-saudi-pro-league-target-started-moving-organise-life-mooted-liverpool-exit/blt22dcec84330918e0" target="_blank">parting of the ways is in the offing</a>. </p>

<p>Al-Hilal have reportedly turned their attention to Nunez after Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has been on loan at Galatasaray this season, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/victor-osimhen-makes-final-decision-saudi-arabia-transfer-napoli-striker-receives-fifth-offer-al-hilal/bltfbe17421c311dae7" target="_blank">snubbed their advances</a> over a summer transfer. While the Nigerian is not interested in that switch, Nunez may be a more gettable target. </p>
