<p>The Uruguayan striker had a tough 2024-25 campaign personally, struggling for game time under Arne Slot as the Reds won their second Premier League title. Nunez's former international team-mate Walter Gargano has now claimed that Nunez is ready to quit Anfield this summer and that a move to Napoli is in the offing - as the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14844991/Darwin-Nunez-Liverpool-LEAVE-Anfield-Napoli.html" target="_blank"><em>Daily Mail</em></a> reports.</p>

<p>Gargano told radio station <em>Kiss Kiss Napoli</em>: "The warmth of the Neapolitans would do him a lot of good, I spoke to him about a week ago and I hope he really comes to Naples. He told me: 'Yes, I'll come to Naples right away. I'm waiting to close with Naples.'"</p>
