<p>According to Fasano, both Nunez and Chiesa have both given the green light to a move to Naples ahead of the 2025-26 season. Liverpool are hoping to use the pair as makeweights to bring in Victor Osimhen, but the Napoli striker has not yet given his approval to head to Anfield.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Osimhen would be a blockbuster signing for Liverpool and a potential upgrade on Nunez. The Uruguayan made 30 league appearances for Liverpool last season, but only scored five goals. Chiesa, meanwhile, barely got a look-in under Arne Slot after his 2024 move from Juventus, featuring in only six Premier League games.</p>

WHAT FASANO SAID

<p>The double signing of Nunez and Chiesa would continue what has already been a busy summer for Napoli, who have signed Manchester City legend Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer. Antonio Conte is aiming to bolster his squad to compete at the top end of Serie A again and in the Champions League after delivering the Scudetto in 2024-25.</p>
