<p>The Red Dragons announced their new change strip last week. The golden shirt draws its inspiration from the daffodil, Wales' national flower. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The yellow and green design has a retro feel, as does the Red Dragons' home strip which references their 1981/82 shirt, the last time Wrexham were in the second tier.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The away strip is an exhibition of Welsh pride, with aptriotic imagery and references to the country's national anthem woven into its design. According to a statement on the club website, the shirt features "the Welsh flag on the rear collar, and internal green tape reading ‘LAND OF MY FATHERS – HEN WLAD FY NHADAU’ on the lower back”. </p>

The Red Dragons' preparations for the club's first season back in the second tier for more than 40 years, will continue when they face Sydney FC on Sunday.</p>
