WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Ronaldo has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/gobsmacked-cristiano-ronaldo-retirement-date-revealed-former-man-utd-team-mate-rio-ferdinand/blt0cf499ce1a27f434" target="_blank">offered no indication that retirement is in his thoughts</a>, with Brown – speaking in association with <a href="https://www.instantcasino.com/" target="_blank"><em>Instant Casino</em></a> – telling <strong>GOAL</strong> when asked if the all-time great will play on well into his 40s: “He has talked about it. The way that the guy looks after himself is unbelievable. To keep yourself that fit at his age is an achievement in itself. He’ll continue doing that, it’s his normal routine, and it’s one of them where Ronaldo can finish when he wants to finish. I’m sure that’s how it’ll be. If he’s enjoying it, I’m sure he’ll continue. There will come a point where he hangs them up. I don’t think it’s any time soon, even though he is getting on now.”</p>

To get that history, to get that far – 1,000 goals – is an achievement that I don’t think will be broken if that were the case.”</p>
