<p>Ronaldo raised eyebrows after Al-Nassr's final game of the season by <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/this-chapter-is-over-cristiano-ronaldo-appears-confirm-al-nassr-exit-links-sporting-mls/blt37dcf16857669b62#csd689db5a2a1b595a" target="_blank">posting a message on Instagram</a> that has been widely interpreted as a farewell to current club Al-Nassr. The Portugal superstar wrote: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 40-year-old now has "two serious options" to consider, according to <a href="https://www.footmercato.net/a6150278468781840629-mercato-cristiano-ronaldo-hesite-entre-2-clubs-tres-puissants" target="_blank">Foot Mercato</a>. The first is to actually stay at Al-Nassr and sign a new contract at the club. Yet Ronaldo is also wanted by Saudi rivals Al-Hilal who are eager to sign a big-name replacement for Neymar, following his departure in the winter. Al-Hilal could also offer Ronaldo the chance to play at the upcoming Club World Cup which could well tempt the 40-year-old to make the switch.</p><p></p>
