According to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/live-blogs/transfer-deadline-day-live-updates-latest-news/mXksyw6B05Kd/pxDk5TMrxDps/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a>, Chukwuemeka has a €50 million (£43m) release clause in his contract. On the contrary, German publication <a href="https://www.kicker.de/naechstes-premier-league-talent-bvb-leiht-chukwuemeka-aus-1087697/artikel" target="_blank">Kicker</a> mentioned that the Chelsea man could be available for €35 million (£30m). </p>
