<p>Barcelona came back from behind to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/real-madrid-player-ratings-vs-barcelona-jude-bellingham-lucas-vazquez-raphinha/bltf91e885a7267ea38" target="_blank">thrash their arch-rivals 5-2 to reclaim the Spanish Super Club title</a> in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. Kylian Mbappe handed Real Madrid an early lead but Lamine Yamal soon brought his team back into the game with a prolific solo effort. Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Alejandro Balde then scored a goal each in the first half to ensure the Catalan giants went into the break with a 4-1 lead. Raphinha then completed his brace shortly after the break while Rodrygo reduced the margin by converting a free-kick at the hour mark.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Bellingham remained invisible for most of the game and 'ghosted' in an important match against the Catalan side as the fans were left furious.</p><p>An X handle named <a href="https://x.com/MusialaEra/status/1878526718916300988" target="_blank">@MusialaEra</a> compared the English midfielder's performance to that of former United star McTominay. The post read: "Jude Bellingham has mastered the art of looking busy on a football pitch. The casuals love it, the analytics guys love it, and I see through it. He is not elite in any sense of the word, closer to a Scott McTominay than a Pedri or a Musiala. A 6/10 on his best day. Overrated."</p><p>A Barcelona fan with the handle <a href="https://x.com/hazfcb_/status/1878551676019187994" target="_blank">@hazfcb_</a> wrote: "How on Earth can someone with a functioning brain think Bellingham is even close to Pedri."</p><p><a href="https://x.com/BCNOgi/status/1878552495401709776" target="_blank">OGI</a> wrote: "Shoutout to Mbappe, he genuinely played outta his skin tonight. WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

<p>Hansi Flick's side had many positives to take from the performance in Jeddah. After a lean patch in December, which saw the Catalan club drop down to the third position in La Liga table, Barcelona are back with a bang in 2024, having scored 11 goals in their first three matches of the New Year. Yamal's return from injury and scoring a brilliant goal also came as a huge boost to the team's attack.</p>
