In an interview with The Athletic, Press said: "It will still be the first time I’ve done a legitimate passing pattern with a bunch of bodies on the field and checking angles because it’s just been one-on-one training for two years."

WHAT PRESS SAID

While Press' return to training is a positive development, Angel City have not yet provided a timeline for when fans can expect to see her back in National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) matches. The team is currently positioned 12th in the standings, with 11 matches played, and will undoubtedly benefit from Press' experience and skill as they look to improve their performance in the league.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Press' return comes at a critical juncture not only for Angel City but also for her aspirations with the USWNT. The timing presents a challenging scenario for Press as she seeks to reestablish herself and potentially secure a spot on the Olympic roster. New USWNT head coach Emma Hayes is expected to announce the 18-player roster by the end of the month, ahead of the final two send-off matches in July.
