Referee Rob Jones cautioned the United defender initially and the VAR decided to stay with Jones' original call. <p>Maresca granted his players a day off on Monday after a gruelling encounter against the Red Devils. They came back from behind to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-player-ratings-vs-chelsea-marcus-alejandro-garnacho-noussair-mazraoui/bltb641a3e9f0bcceb8">play out a 1-1 draw</a>. The club had hoped that Palmer's soreness would settle down but he will now undergo a scan to find out the exact extent of his injury, according to <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/11/04/chelsea-cole-palmer-scan-lisandro-martinez-lunge/" target="_blank"><em>The Telegraph</em></a>. The Blues will hope that the 22-year-old will re-join training on Tuesday.</p>
