It had been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/chelsea-leicester-kiernan-dewsbury-hall-enzo-maresca-brighton/blt970ba72328e78d73" target="_blank">reported earlier this week that Chelsea had taken an interest in Dewsbury-Hall</a> following a failed move by Brighton. <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5599597/2024/06/28/chelsea-kiernan-dewsbury-hall/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a> has now reported that Chelsea have made their preliminary bid for the midfielder as the Blues prepare for life under former Foxes boss Enzo Maresca.

WHAT HAPPENED?

As per <a href="https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1806654551950262372" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a>, Chelsea are ready to send two players to the King Power Stadium in a potential swap deal. The two players mentioned in the report are Datro Fofana and Cesare Casadei, who are way out of the fringes of Chelsea's squad and likely seen as surplus by the Blues brass.

Dewsbury-Hall had a phenomenal season under Maresca at Leicester last season as the Foxes claimed the Championship title to confirm their promotion to the Premier League. The 25-year-old made 49 appearances under Maresca at Leicester as he scored 12 goals and assisted 15 more in the successful season.
