<p>Chelsea have announced the arrival of defender Sarr from French side Strasbourg, with the 19-year-old signing an eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Centre-back Sarr made 28 appearances in all competitions for Strasbourg during the past season, helping them secure qualification to the Conference League play-off round. <p>Sarr has received lofty praise from Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior, who recently said: "I could talk about him for hours. His nickname is Mamadou Rosenior, he's my son.</p><p>"It's scary to show such performances at 19 with such calm in the face of such strong teams. He just has to stay humble and calm and he will be a top player for sure."</p>
