<p>Anselmino was being touted as a potential superstar after his maiden season as a senior professional at Boca Juniors. His performance in the 2023-24 campaign grabbed the attention of Chelsea recruiters, who wasted no time in <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/aaron-anselmino-chelsea-great-jewel-boca-juniors/blta88370fb58529db3" target="_blank">sealing a transfer for the young defender for just £17 million ($22m)</a> in the summer. The player, who has committed to move to Stamford Bridge on a seven-year deal, immediately <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-gbp17m-transfer-boca-juniors-wonderkid-aaron-anselmino-loan/bltb1070cc36ad97dab#cs74d968b2d8e5a827" target="_blank">returned to the Argentine club on loan</a> at least until January 2025.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Per <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1873756934396113390" target="_blank"><em>Fabrizio Romano</em></a>, the Blues have now decided to recall the 19-year-old from his loan spell after just six months. Anselmino is expected to travel to London by the end of this week and join Enzo Maresca's squad at Cobham.</p>

<p>Anselmino played in 18 matches for Argentine giants Boca in the last six months, including 12 league appearances, where he scored two goals and provided three assists.</p>
