After ending their losing streak last time out, Chelsea took yet another backwards step as they were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by relegation-battling Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Edouard Mendy's calamitous error gifted Forest an early lead as Taiwo Awoniyi capitalised, but a two-goal salvo from Raheem Sterling turned the game on its head after the break. The second strike was sensational, as he cut inside and curled home a wonderful finish to round off a swift couter-attack.
However, the Blues couldn't hold out for a second win on the bounce as Awoniyi was left unmarked to nod in his second just moments after Chelsea had taken the lead. The result leaves Frank Lampard's side marooned in 11th and he is still winless at home since returning to the dugout, while Forest are now closing in on safety.
