Chelsea considering getting rid of Nicolas Jackson after striker's second costly recent red card at Club World Cup

<p>Chelsea are seriously considering offloading out-of-form Jackson this summer, with Italian journalist <a href="https://gianlucadimarzio.com/jackson-chelsea-juventus-napoli-calciomercato-news-21-giugno-2025/" target="_blank"><em>Gianluca Di Marzio</em></a> reporting that the former Villarreal man has attracted interest from Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Jackson came on as a second-half substitute against Flamengo on Friday in the Blues' second Club World Cup game, but was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/nicolas-jackson-apology-second-costly-red-card-chelsea-club-world-cup-defeat-flamengo/bltc73061ff1d13f029" target="_blank">sent off just four minutes after coming on for an absolutely needless challenge</a>. Flamengo stunned Chelsea 3-1, with Jackson's red card only making matters worse in what was a horrific display from Enzo Maresca's side. It was his second red card in less than two months, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-told-sell-petulant-nicolas-jackson-inexcusable-red-card-newcastle-champions-league-hopes/blt454ea3788e09d64a" target="_blank">after being dismissed for violent conduct at Newcastle</a>. Maresca is reportedly frustrated with the Senegalese's lack of discipline, in addition to his lack of goals. In fact, it has been claimed that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/nicolas-jackson-not-apologised-chelsea-team-mates-newcastle-red-card/bltd97f36ffdc9e2cfd" target="_blank">Jackson did not offer an apology to his team-mates</a> after being sent off at St. James' Park.</p>
