<p>First reported by <a href="https://x.com/FabriceHawkins/status/1931391010103279925" target="_blank">Fabrice Hawkins of <em>RMC Sport</em></a>, Chelsea have negotiated a seven-year contract with Gittens, with the England youngster keen to make the move. <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1931398699462111390" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a> reports that the Blues have tabled a bid worth €35 million (£29.5m) for the winger, but there is no agreement yet between the two clubs.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6077611/2025/06/07/chelsea-transfers-jamie-gittens-dortmund/" target="_blank"><em>The Athletic</em></a> claims that Chelsea have targeted the 20-year-old after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/what-next-jadon-sancho-chelsea-snub-marcus-rashford-lucrative-saudi-risk-man-utd-options/blt5bf771d83dc5374f#cs253994a17ebea589" target="_blank">refusing to sign Jadon Sancho permanently from Manchester United</a>. An England Under-21 international, he has racked up 106 appearances for the Bundesliga side, and he scored 12 goals last season.</p>

<p>Gittens is capable of playing on either wing or through the middle but has predominantly operated off the flank. He has a contract until 2028, meaning Dortmund are under no pressure to sell in this window. </p>
