His display against Polish outfit Jagiellonia in the UEFA Conference League this week only further solidified his growing reputation, playing a crucial role in pushing Betis towards the semi-finals.</p><p></p>

<p>According to <a href="https://as.com/" target="_blank"><em>AS,</em></a><em> </em>Chelsea have been keeping close tabs on the winger and as they view him as a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/premier-league-chelsea-jadon-sancho-man-utd-amid-14-game-goal-drought/blte187d227b648583c" target="_blank">potential successor to Sancho</a>, should a transfer materialise in the coming months.</p><p>Despite the growing <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/jadon-sancho-fee-chelsea-must-pay-man-utd-permanent-transfer-get-out-clause/blt908e1f7a0498681b" target="_blank">speculation surrounding Rodríguez’s future,</a> Real Betis are understood to be calm about the situation. The club moved swiftly to secure the youngster’s services with a fresh contract that includes a €35 million (£30m/$40m) release clause. Interestingly, the contract also contains a secondary clause, which permits Betis to raise that buyout figure if serious interest arrives, giving them added leverage in any future negotiations.</p>

<p>Under the guidance of manager Manuel Pellegrini, Rodríguez has been deployed primarily on the left wing, where he enjoys cutting inside onto his favoured right foot.
