‘Certainly a possibility’ - Kieran McKenna responds to Liam Delap transfer talk after Chelsea and Man Utd linked with £30m striker

<p>Delap's future at Ipswich looks in doubt after a season where he's scored 12 Premier League goals for McKenna's struggling side. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liam-delap-cut-price-ipswich-relegation-release-clause-revealed-transfer-chelsea-man-utd/bltcd9ee75030b4dd21#cs208e6f886da0f39c" target="_blank">striker's release clause is also expected to drop from a reported £40 million ($51m) to £30m ($38m)</a> if Ipswich are relegated. The Tractor Boys currently sit in 18th place in the table and are a massive 12 points from safety.</p><p></p>

McKenna has been quizzed on the striker's future and admits he hasn't given up hope of convincing Delap to stay at Portman Road. </p>

He's happy and he's improving every week and we're enjoying working with him. I'm sure there's lots of different possibilities.&nbsp;But Liam's an Ipswich player.
