<p>Cowell scored his first goals for the Mexican club since his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/usmnt-star-cade-cowell-completes-historic-transfer-liga-mx-chivas-david-beckham-former-real-madrid-team-mate/blt850fe89b96d73a2f" target="_blank">$4m transfer from MLS side San Jose Earthquakes.</a> He's following the footsteps of fellow American striker Brandon Vazquez, who also moved to Liga MX this January, but instead to Monterrey. The duo have both added two-goal games to their resume in recent weeks, with both fighting for roster spots with the USMNT this summer.</p><p>Vazquez, likely with the team at Copa America, while Cowell will be shooting for a spot on the Olympic team in the Paris Games.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The Liga MX side take on Juarez on February 10 in league action at the Estadio AKRON in Zapopan, Mexico. Cowell, meanwhile, will look to continue his hot form ahead of a big year for the USMNT - and for his dreams representing his nation.</p>
