<p>United are preparing for a must-win night at Old Trafford in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie against Lyon, and this time, they’re adding an extra spark off the pitch. For the first time in their storied history, the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ruben-amorim-told-what-could-make-man-utd-change-manager-jamie-carragher-warning-red-devils-boss/blt5c43313768a2eda6" target="_blank">club will unveil a tifo display in front of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand</a>, with captain Fernandes having endorsed the visual tribute.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The tifo will span from pitch level all the way to the rooftop, directly across the halfway line, in what the club is calling a "spectacular moment". The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/roy-keane-wrong-ruben-amorim-rotated-more-newcastle-man-utd-europa-league-lyon-season-defining/blt0e51ef7fbb27fedd" target="_blank">design and concept were developed </a>collaboratively between the club and fan representatives. Once finalised, the concept was shown to Fernandes for approval. Though United are keeping the exact design under strict secrecy until matchday, it has been confirmed that the tifo will be accompanied by a red-and-white pyrotechnic display. Positioned near the banner, the flare-style effects will further amplify the energy inside the Theatre of Dreams.</p>
