A day on from all that drama, United States international Aaronson basked in the glow of their achievement.</p>

WHAT AARONSON SAID

<p>Aaronson returned to Leeds last summer after spending last season on loan at Union Berlin, instead of trying to get the Whites out of the Championship at the first time of asking following their relegation from the Premier League in 2023. The 24-year-old, who was not a popular figure for leaving the Yorkshire outfit, has had his doubters amongst the fanbase, but a return of nine goals and two assists has won many supporters over at Elland Road. He has more than played his part in Daniel Farke's team ascending to the English top-flight and quite rightfully lapped up the celebrations on Monday. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Aaronson and Leeds will now be focusing on trying to finish the season as champions, as they round off the campaign with fixtures against play-off chasing Bristol City and relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle.</p>
