Madrid are said to be contemplating offering Ancelotti a new deal, according to Spansh publication <a href="https://www.relevo.com/futbol/liga-primera/renovacion-carlo-ancelotti-real-madrid-20231117173941-nt.html" target="_blank">Relevo</a>. Although they are yet to make a permanent proposal, Florentino Perez and the Madrid board could present a deal that would keep the manager in charge of Los Blancos until 2026.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/ancelotti--brazil-boss-2024-copa-america-after-real-madrid-cbf-president/blt085f8c97d32f6336" target="_blank">Brazilian football federation insist</a> that they have a deal to bring Ancelotti on for the Copa America next summer — something the manager himself has refused to comment on. He has previously suggested that he plans on <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/carlo-ancelotti-confirms-retire-end-real-madrid-career/bltacaf9fabe0d7c080" target="_blank">retiring when his current Madrid deal ends</a>.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Madrid and Brazil winger has claimed that he knows nothing about Ancelotti's future, telling <a href="https://en.as.com/soccer/rodrygo-i-dont-like-playing-as-a-number-9-but-i-do-it-because-i-believe-in-ancelotti-n/" target="_blank">COPE</a> on November 13: "We don’t know anything about what’s going to happen. We always want to have [Ancelotti], whether that’s in Madrid or for the National Team."

For now, Ancelotti will remain in charge of Madrid until at least the end of the season. Los Blancos' next game is a La Liga clash with Cadiz on November 26.
